Your role and responsibilities

Ready to shape the future of electrification in Switzerland? As an Associate Project Manager at ABB, you’ll take ownership of service projects and maintenance contracts for medium and low voltage switchgears. You’ll work directly with local customers, drive performance beyond expectations, and help us deliver smarter, safer, and more sustainable energy solutions.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility, and real opportunity to grow.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Managing maintenance contracts through end-to-end coordination of customer site

• Leading service projects for medium and low voltage switchgear and electrical distribution systems, ensuring technical, scheduling, and commercial goals are met

• Coordinating operational activities and proactively communicating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams

• Monitoring projects to ensure cost control, resource efficiency, and compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards

Qualifications for the role

• Solid technical education (e.g. electrician, electrical engineer, automation engineer) with further training at HF or FH level (or equivalent)

• Experience as a project manager or project engineer in electrical installations or panel building

• Technical knowledge in medium and low voltage switchgear

• Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems

• Strong customer orientation and ability to prioritize effectively

• Fluent German and good English skills required; additional languages are a plus
