This position reports to

Center of Expertise Bid & Proposal Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you support the Sales assigned organization (Division & Market) and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area in Smart Power, PG Power Protection, for our global sales team.
Reporting to the Center of Expertise Bid & Proposal Manager, your attention to detail and ability to negotiate with multiple partners will be vital to this key component of project planning.
The work model for this role is onsite. #LI-onsite
•Offers technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Specialists with regard to ABB UPS products/systems/applications
•Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations
•Acts as the single point of contact for export business for Power Protection products manufactured in Richmond, VA
•Supports preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives
•Contributes to an effective, positive customer relationship throughout the sales process
•Assures global standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization

Qualifications for the role

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in working with UPS Systems
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Collaborative, solution-focused approach with good written and spoken communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written (Italian, French or German speaking is considered as a plus)
