Trainee/Consultant (all genders) – Strategic Finance & Analytics

By joining our Strategic Finance & Analytics team, you’ll learn how to support finance and corporate leaders make complex strategic decisions, analyse enterprise performance, develop business plans, and quantify the success of M&A deals or value creation initiatives. We bring in-depth corporate finance knowledge and experience coupled with data and tech savviness into our clients’ most complex transactions, transformations, or corporate events around the globe – from valuation or financial modelling assignments all the way to cutting edge finance analytics capability design and implementations.

How can you make an impact:

• Work across a variety of assignments from the start. You will work closely with our client stakeholders and be continuously supported by several of our experienced colleagues in developing new skills and competencies
• Experience what it means in practice to help shape businesses through capital budgeting and strategic portfolio management support; cost allocation and charging mechanisms; management reporting and sustainability digital reporting; asset valuations and modelling; data curation and monetisation
• Assess our clients’ financial and business challenges, evaluate suitable solutions based on quantitative analysis, market research, data modelling and digital solution deployment; help them build a strategic business plan and realise the transformation value  
• Develop net working capital diagnostics and improvement strategies trough the design and implementation of finance analytics digital solutions for companies facing critical cash issues
• Deliver valuations to the client's middle or top management driven by M&A, corporate events, fund-specific or fiscal triggers  

Who we are looking for:

• You are a curious and reliable team player who likes to work methodically with great attention to detail, willing to take on responsibility in a fast-paced environment and to persist against challenges whilst bringing a fresh perspective everything you do 
• You’re a recent master’s graduate or a high performing student about to complete a degree in mathematics, engineering, finance, economics, computer science, or management information systems with an understanding and keen interest in corporate finance, quantitative analysis techniques and strategic events 
• Profound Excel skills and good command of the other Microsoft Office programmes; further technical and programming know how (e.g., visualization platforms, Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, SQL, etc.) would be appreciated  
• Previous internships or work experience within a Consulting, Advisory or Finance department of a global company are a plus
• Confidence in communicating and writing in English and German is a must; any further languages are an advantage
