The professorship of Physics of Soils and Terrestrial Ecosystems investigates the interactions between soil and plants, the physical constraints on terrestrial fluxes, and the implications of climate change for terrestrial ecosystems, by means of experimental laboratory and field studies and mathematical models.To support the Professorship we are looking for an Administrative Assistant. The Professorship of Physics of Soils and Terrestrial Ecosystems is part of the D-USYS Institute of Terrestrial Ecosystems (ITES).
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial and administrative tasks of the professorship, including:
- Internal processing of supplier invoices.
- Overseeing finances for third-party funded research projects and financial reporting.
- Organizing trips abroad and travel reimbursement.
- Supporting visitors.
- Organization of exams.
- Helping with Website maintenance.
Additionally, she/he will support in managing various personnel administration tasks, contributing to a productive and comfortable international environment.
Your profile
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and independent person with experience in administration tasks and modern electronic office and communication tools, including Microsoft Office, and eager to learn about new IT tools. Excellent German and English knowledge (spoken and written) is required. Your attitude to solve problems, flexibility, team player skills and ability to work with people with a diverse background will support us to build a productive and friendly working group and they are important criteria for the candidate selection.
